Compliance with legislation is regarded as the minimum requirement.
The company confirms its commitment to:
- The prevention of accidents and cases of work-related ill health and the provision of adequate controls of health and safety risks arising from work activities;
- Continual improvement in Health and Safety management and performance;
- Achieving the highest practicable standards of health and safety on all projects with which it is associated;
- To providing working conditions that are safe and healthy for all employees and those under the company’s control;
- To providing and maintaining safe plant and equipment;
- To ensure the safe handling, safe storage and use of substances;
- To providing relevant information, instruction and supervision to ensure employees are competent to do their work;
- To engage and consult with employees on day-to-day health and safety conditions and provide advice and supervision on occupational health;
- To implement emergency procedures in case of fire or other significant incident.
- To report any Accidents and ill health at work when required in accordance with RIDDOR: (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences (Amendment) Regulations 2012);
- To review performance on a regular basis along with proposals for continuous improvement.
The requirements of the Health and Safety Policy Statement are communicated to all employees and their involvement in the management of health and safety is actively promoted through effective and regular consultation.
The Company has an excellent record for Health and Safety at its places of work. It recognises that this is achieved through the active participation, of both management and those employed by the Company, in identifying hazards and risks and then taking positive action to control them.
Ultimate responsibility for health and safety lies with Adrian Neary who, supported by the company’s external Health and Safety Consultants, ensures that adequate resources, advice and training are provided to deliver the objectives of the Health and Safety Policy Statement.
The Company’s Health and Safety Policy Statement is documented, implemented and maintained and will be reviewed annually to ensure that it remains relevant and appropriate or sooner should measures need to be taken to ensure its effectiveness.
